Session 19

Vlad reaches out and grabs Bardolf's arm, but ultimately lets go. He asks why he was disturbed. Elora explains that they are stuck in Barovia and they intend to kill Strahd. At this news, Vladimir becomes angry. He says that Strahd deserves to suffer in this hell of his own creation. He thinks that the others that suffer in the Barovia are but unfortunate sacrifices for Strahd's damnation.

He continues to insist that the party leave Strahd alone and make no changes in Barovia. The party realizes he's clearly lost many of his memories and has become somewhat mad. When asked for his help and for the Symbol of Ravenkind he wears around his neck, he refuses. Even after an impressive butt-flute performance by Shalooti, he doesn't give in.

Frustrated, the party pretend to leave, then surprise attack Vlad while he has his back turned. When they enter into combat, 6 Phantom Warriors blink in and out to help Vlad. The party sees Vlad regenerate multiple times.

Shalooti is able to take the Holy Symbol of Ravenkind off of his neck and give it to Elora who already knew quite a bit about the talisman. After just a few rounds, the group is able to take down Vladimir, but his body remains, and the Warriors don't disappear as expected....
